Evening School

Introduction

The evening school (or maktab) offers young students the opportunity to read, memorize, and/or recite the Qur’an—as well as recommended supplications (masnun du’as/ad’iyah). In addition, students will read and learn about the foundational beliefs of Islam (‘Aqa’id), Prophetic Tradition (Hadith), Prophetic Biography (Sirah), Islamic Ethics and Manners (Akhlaq and Adab), elementary Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic History (Ta’rikh), etc.
