Tahfiz Program

Program Description

The Tahfiz program at Madinatul Uloom Institute offers young students (both boys and girls) with the opportunity to memorize the entire Qur’an without compromising on their secular education. It is divided into two types, full-time and part-time (contact us for more details), and is designed primarily for youth between the ages of 8 – 15, of whom are interested and committed to memorizing the noble Qur’an. Alongside the memorization of the Qur’an, students will also be taught other subjects that fall under the umbrella of essential Islamic knowledge—such as, the science of Tajweed (pronunciation), elementary and intermediate Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Masnoon Du’a(recommended supplications), Adab (Islamic etiquettes), etc. In addition, quality general school education will be provided to prevent students from potentially falling behind their peers in school. Experience has shown, that due to the blessings of this virtuous effort, Hifz students surpass others in their ability to learn, memorize, and grasp new concepts! By the grace of Allah (ﷻ), about 50+ students (as young as 9 years old) have completed the Tahfiz program.

Program Benefits

Upon completion of this program, the student will have memorized the entire Qur’an from cover-to-cover with correct pronunciation and/or Tajweed. The student will then be able to lead any Muslim congregation in their five daily salah, Jumu’ah, Janazah, and Taraweeh.

Program Duration

The Tahfiz program is ongoing and perpetual, with no set duration. The completion time will differ from individual-to-individual, based upon their enthusiasm, mental capabilities, and parental support. However, based upon past observation and/or experience, one can assume the average duration to complete the memorization is between 2-4 years.
